Governor asks Tuki to prove majority by July 16; Tuki seeks more time
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: In obedience of the Supreme Court judgement dated 13th July 2016, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Tathagata Roy has informed Nabam Tuki that he stands reinstated as the Chief Minister of the State on and with effect from that date.
The Governor has also asked the Chief Minister to call the State Legislative Assembly session immediately and to prove his majority in the house no later than 16th July 2016 (Saturday).
The Governor has further desired that in order to ensure that the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly may take place peacefully and otherwise appropriately, the same shall be videographed throughout and the majority as aforesaid proved by Division and not by Voice Vote. A note to this effect has also been sent to the Secretary of the Legislative Assembly.
The Governor emphasised that the conduct of the proceedings, including the videography, in the House shall strictly follow the principles laid down by the Supreme Court in its order dated May 6, 2016 in the matter pertaining to the matter of imposition of President's Rule in the State of Uttarakhand (SLP C 11567/2016) Union of India Vs Harish Chandra Singh Rawat, a Raj Bhawan release said.
However, Tuki, who led a Congress government that fell in January after the controversial role played by Governor J P Rajkhowa, said that he needed time to face the floor test, reports PTI
Talking to reporters after attending office at Itanagar,Tuki said he would request the acting Governor Tathagata Roy to defer the proposed floor test as it is "not possible" within a short span of time.
Tuki arrived here this evening after assuming charge of chief minister of the state at Arunachal Bhawan in New Delhi yesterday following the apex court verdict.
Speaker Nabam Rebia, who too attended office today, said the assembly needs at least 10 to 15 days to summon a session.
"I have received the governor's order asking the state government to go for floor test on July 16 which is practically impossible keeping in mind the uneven topography and inclement weather besides the communication bottlenecks in the state," he told reporters.
The Speaker also appealed to all the Congress members to strengthen Tuki's hands for overall development of the state.
In a major setback to BJP and the Centre, the Supreme Court yesterday ordered restoration of the Congress government, saying the "clock should be turned back", as it quashed all decisions of Governor Rajkhowa that precipitated its fall in January, holding them "violative" of the Constitution.
Pul claims support of majority MLAs
Guwahati, Jul 14: Dismissed Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Kalikho Pul today claimed support of majority MLAs of the state.
"We need to see the facts very carefully. The SC has not directed that the party composition shall be restored as on December 15. Accordingly, the party composition of the Arunachal Assembly is Congress - 15, PPA - 30, BJP - 11 and Independents - 2," Pul said at a press conference here.
"With this party composition, I wonder whether Nabam Tuki will be able to win a confidence vote," he said.
Parading 36 MLAs in front of the media, Pul asserted he has the support of 43 members of the Arunachal Legislative Assembly.
Asked if there was any fear of horse-trading, Pul said "That fear is always there. He (Tuki) is calling all members for influencing them."
On filing a review petition against the Supreme Court judgement, he said legal experts would be consulted first.
On the law and order situation in Arunachal Pradesh, he said "I have been a minister for 23 years and for the first time I saw a situation where the home minister was blocking roads and locking Assembly gates. We feared law and order problems. That is why we defected."
Talking about the apex court judgement, Pul claimed there have been instances of preponing sessions, including in the Parliament.
"The SC judgement also did not restore Tuki as CM. The ruling was on three operative parts - preponing of the session, Governor's message to the Speaker and quashing of the proceeding of December 16 and 17. So, it only reinstated the Speaker.
"However, we do not want to keep fighting as this will give a wrong signal. Now the Governor has asked him to prove majority on the floor, so that will decide everything," he asserted.
Commenting on the landmark Supreme Court judgement, Pul said "The Constitution of India is still evolving, specially in respect of the Governor's role vis-a-vis the Legislature. For the first time I am getting educated that in a matter of removal of a Speaker of the House, the Governor has to take advice from the Cabinet.
"In fact, I find no answer to my own question that if the Cabinet delays the summoning of a House to impeach a Speaker, what will happen to the democratic aspirations of the majority of the House desiring to remove a Speaker?"
In a democracy, the voice of the people was the supreme law and peoples' representatives assemble in the Assembly under the Constitution to "make and unmake" governments on the floor, he said.
"There may be innumerable interpretations on any provision of the Constitution. We now know what is the view of the Constitution Bench... Constitution is evolving and judgements of Constitution Benches may also evolve," Pul said.
He maintained that the SC order for restoration was not connected to the disqualification of 14 MLAs and change of party affiliation by 30 Congress members to the PPA.
"The Supreme Court order, dated July 13, 2016, is not an order for blanket restoration. The restoration is only with respect to the issues that have been explicitly adjudicated by the honourable apex court," Pul claimed. PTI
Fire destroys five houses in Tirap, 20 shops in Namsai
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: Five houses were completely gutted while four other houses were partially damaged in a devastating fire which broke out at the midnight of Jul 13 last, in Lower Chinkoi village under Dadam circle, 23 kms away from Khonsa, reports Tirap DIPRO.
The residents were unable to salvage their valuable property from the raging fire, the cause of which is yet to be ascertained. However, there are no reports of any casualty.
An FIR has also been lodged at the Dadam Police Station.
Further, MLA, Tirong Aboh had also immediately dispatched a relief team with essential commodities including utensils and blankets etc, to the site.
Meanwhile, Namsai DIPRO informed that 20 shops including Meat/Fish sheds and goods and articles worth Rs. 62 lakhs approximately, were completely destroyed in a fire which broke out at the daily market here on Thursday.
However, there are no reports of any casualty.
Namsai, CO, DDMO and Namsai Police Station, OC have also rushed to the spot to assess the damage.
Reports regarding the cause of the fire are still awaited.
Meanwhile, a verification board has been formed to assess the damages.
DC directs dilapidated school to close down
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: Itanagar Capital Complex, Deputy Commissioner, Sandeep Kumar Singh has directed that the Government Primary School, Yupia Road, Down Colony, Naharlagun to be immediately closed down from July 15.
The order was given after taking stock of the school and necessitated for the safety of the students and teachers, stated a release.
All the parents have been also requested to shift their ward to any of their preferred school in the vicinity.
The DC also directed the DDSE, Capital Complex to facilitate the transfer of the students to the nearby schools and to ensure that no school denies admission to the students as preferred by the parents. Directions have been also given for transfer of the teachers from the school to other schools as per need basis.
Earlier, the DC accompanied by DDSE Capital Complex, BEO and CRCC inspected the school which had been established around three years ago under the SSA by DDSE, Yupia. The inspection was carried out after the DDSE reported that the school building was not safe for the life of the students and the staffs of the school.
The inspection found that the location was not feasible for the functioning of the school as it lays in a vulnerable the flood zone and soil erosion area. Several big cracks have developed in the building and soil erosion has started taking place below the plinth of the school building. The school also lacked basic facilities like water supply, toilet facility etc. It was further found that school was running in a dilapidated condition with a total of around 15 students and two teachers. The team also made note of the fact that such condition of the school has happened only after three years of construction. The contractor who has built the school is also residing in the vicinity of the school.
Accordingly a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of CO Naharlagun, Neelam Teji to enquire regarding the construction of the school building at such inappropriate location and reasons for the shortfall in the construction leading to the complete damage of the new building within three years. ANSU condemns Rijiju for his letter on FTI
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: Condemning MoS Home, Kiren Rijiju for sending letter to former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul to change the site of proposed Film and Television Institute at Jote under Papum Pare, the All Nyishi Students’ Union (ANSU) stated that the DPR of the project was finalized and accepted by Satyajit Ray Film & Telivision Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata.
In a release, questioning the logistic problem of the project cited by MoS Rijiju, ANSU stated that all the necessary formalities like technical feasibilities and land acquisition had been completed by the state government. It added that people had elected him as a MP to bring adequate development, not to scrap developmental projects.
Further, ANSU also queries the silence of Rijiju on the alleged move by Governor JP Rajkhowa to shift Arunachal Green Field Airport to Lilabari, Assam. No action was taken by the MoS although several memorandums were submitted to him for construction of the proposed 4 lane Chimpu to Banderdewa and Green Airport, added the release.
Also claiming that a section of state leaders are playing politics to shift out Engineering College from Toru to some other district, ANSU said that it would never allow them to shift the project.
APSTS reconnects C/Tajo with Seppa
SEPPA, Jul 14: After 16 long years, Chayangtajo, the ADC headquarter (Independent) was reconnected with district headquarter Seppa, East Kameng district, when General Manager of Arunachal Pradesh State Transport Services (APSTS) Abu Tayeng flagged off the 34-seated state transport bus on Thursday.
Much to the delight of the public, GM Tayeng flagged off the 34 seated state transport bus from Chayangtajo to Seppa in presence of local MLA Karya Bagang, ADC Ashok Tajo, government officials, public and students of KGBV in the morning hours at Inspection Bungalow, Chayangtajo.
“Finally ChayangTajo is connected,” said an overwhelmed Tayeng while congratulating the public. However, he suggested forming a local committee for the effective service of the bus. “Last year Pakke Kessang circle was connected with bus service, and a local committee constituting officers, public and students union was formed. The committee framed some rules and regulations for effective bus service,” Tayeng shared.
He urged the public to behave courteously with the driver and the conductor, and assured to provide another bus, if revenue is equally generated. “I have served the district in the past and Chayangtajo is in my heart. And I will serve it wherever it is possible.”
He also appealed to the local MLA to look into the certain stretch of Chayangtajo to Seppa road, lying in deplorable condition, so that buses can deliver smooth ride to its passengers.
“As a representative of this area, I approached GM Tayeng to restart the bus service and he extended full cooperation in this matter,” said MLA Karya Bagang, while expressing her gratitude to Tayeng on behalf of the public.
She also appealed to the driver and the conductor to carry passengers and commodities as per capacity of the bus and not to exceed beyond, so that the bus can also endure a long life.
“A long cherished dream has been fulfilled,” said ADC Ashok Tajo, while informing that bus fare has been fixed at affordable rate at Rs 100 per passenger. However, he urged the GM APSTS to replace the bus with a smaller one, considering the tough road conditions.
Senior public leader, Tara Bagang urged the public to accept the newly introduced bus not merely as a governments property but own property. “Do not harass the driver and conductor, but support the service,” Tara appealed to the public. Chayangtajo, which shares a distance of 80 kilometres from the district headquarter Seppa, witnessed the last bus service in the year 1997.
DC prohibits hunting and fishing
KHONSA, Jul 14: Tirap DC, Ravi Jha through an executive order on Jul 7 last has prohibited all kinds of hunting and fishing in order to save and protect the wildlife in the district.
The DC, in his order stated that indiscriminate hunting of wild birds and animals as well as fishing using different types of weapons and blasting materials causes ecological imbalance, which is hazardous to the society and environment. Therefore, hunting and fishing by using gelatin, poisonous substance, generator or any kind of nets has been prohibited in the district, the DC added.
PPLAWC suspends stir for three months
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: Pare Project Land Affected Welfare Committee (PPLAWC) has decided to suspend its ongoing Pare Project bandh call for the period of three months. This decision came after the meeting between PPLAWC and NEEPCO Ltd officials from Shillong and Guwahati at Head of Project office Doimukh on July 12.
In the meeting NEEPCO officials assured PPLAWC to engage 50 ITI trainees on contract basis within August of this year. Within 4 to 5 months NEEPCO officials promised to complete all formalities of appointment of ITI trainees and appointees would be posted at any project undertaken by NEEPCO Ltd, according to a committee release.
Among others Nabam Rebia, MLA - cum- Speaker of state legislative assembly, Nabam Aka, ZP Chairperson, Ibom Tao, SDO Doimukh circle, Techi Rakap, ASM Rose Panchayat and Likha Robin, President, Youth Association of Rose Panchayat and Gyamar Kuka, Tana Tahin, and Bengia Tada, PPLAWC Chairman, Vice-chairman and General Secretary respectively attended the meeting. NEEPCO was represented, among others, by M.K Sharma, Executive Director (ED) Pare Project, M, Debnath, General manager-cum-HoP Pare Project, Anil Kumar General Manager (HR), Shillong headquarter and Rekhi Tana Tara, Manager administration.
The committee further said that if NEEPCO management fails to appoint 50 ITI trainees within assured time then PPLAWC will launch 36 hours 3rd Phase of Pare Project bandh call.
Epiphytic Orchids planted at IG Park
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: A massive plantation of Epiphytic orchids was done at IG Park, Itanagar on Thursday under the extension activity of State Forest Research Institute (SFRI), Chimpu commemorating the 67th Vanamahotsava celebration.
As many as 1000 number of native orchid plants of four varieties, Dendrobium nobile, D. moschatum, D.fimbriatim and D. aphyllum were planted along the roads inside the park.
Taking part in the plantation, PCCF & Prl. Secretary (E&F), Omkar Singh said blooming of these orchids in coming days shall add to the aesthetic beauty of the park. The plantation shall also create awareness among the people on orchids, especially young children who frequent the park in their leisure time, he added. He also advised the park authority to be vigilant and protect the orchids.
Scientist ‘C’, Orchidologist,ORC, Tipi, Dr. Ona Apang, who had brought the orchid plants from Dirang, West Kameng, appealed all to protect and preserve these orchids for posterity.
Arunachal Pradesh is known for its rich occurrence of orchids with 568 species of 141 genera. A total of 383 Epiphytic, 161 Terrestrial and 24 Saprophyte species are recorded in the state. The ideal climate and diversity of habitat have favoured the growth of orchids in abundance, making the state an ‘Orchid Paradise’ of our country.
Orchids are known as Ecological Indicators. Orchids grow in specific climatic conditions. The death of an orchid flora of an area is indicative of major change in temperature, rainfall or air pollution of the area. Orchids with their colourful sepals are ornamental. Many of the orchids have medicinal and aromatic values. Most of the tribes in Arunachal Pradesh are reportedly using different orchids for different kind of ailment.
Financial literacy camp conducted
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: Members of Farmers club, PRI and Self Help Groups from Pistana Circle attended a financial literacy awareness programme conducted by Himalayan Tribal Welfare Society (HTWS), a local NGO at Deed, Lower Subansiri district on Tuesday last.
The day also coincided with the 35th foundation Day of NABARD.
Addressing the participants on the occasion, NABARD DDM, OP Mounglang dwelt at length on the importance of the banking, savings and financial planning. He explained that as the central as well as state governments were giving utmost importance to DBT, the need for individual bank accounts has become compulsory, which will in turn inculcate banking habits among the rural masses.
He also explained about the benefits under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) as well as Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Atal Pension Yojana (APY) as well as various scheme of NABARD.
HTWS Secretary, Debia Teji also emphasized the importance of having individual bank accounts as it helps individual to mobilize savings and avail various benefits of financial products offered by banks.
While explaining about the various loan products offered by banks for the development of the area, Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, Yachuli, Branch Manager, R Simi further emphasized on the importance of repayment in credit linkage of more individuals from the area by making access to ground level credit easier.
Later, 25 participants also opened their savings accounts with Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, Yachuli.
A similar financial literacy counseling credit camp was also conducted at Jollang and Ganga village of Papum Pare district by the Apex Bank in collaboration with North East Multipurpose Development Society (NEMDS), an NGO under the sponsorship of NABARD on Tuesday.
Over 150 people took part in the camp during which Apex Bank Manager, Ganga Branch, Chatung Mara, ASM Jollang Nabam Rupa, NEMDS president Tapi Taku and Assistant General Secretary Sorang Kiokam highlighted the benefits of various schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojna, PMJDY, PMSY, PMJJY, APY, KCC, government subsidy schemes etc.
Sanitation drive conducted
BOMDILA, Jul 14: A mass cleanliness drive was jointly conducted by the district administration and the department of Urban Development, Bomdila at district headquarters and in its peripheral areas here on Wednesday.
All the officers, staff, public, business community, taxi operators and student unions took part in the drive. The district administration has further fixed every second and fourth Wednesday for conducting such drives. (DIPRO)
Awareness prog on disaster management
CHANGLANG, Jul 14: In order to sensitise the students and teachers, a series of awareness programme on Disaster Management were organized by the Changlang District Administration, DM Branch, Changlang at various schools which culminated on Wednesday with Mass Mock Drill on Fire Accident Safety. It was participated by students and teachers of six schools from Changlang sub-division. The Department of Fire, Changlang demonstrated fire evacuation drills, use of fire extinguishers in normal fire, oil fire, electric fire, etc besides giving basic tips for immediate response by the victim and other strategies.
Earlier, several mock drills on earthquake safety were conducted in Town Middle School-I, Vivekananda Kendra Vidhyalaya, Govt D-Middle School, Laktang Middle School, Town Primary School and Town Middle School-II involving hundred percent students and teachers with an effort to instill confidence in students, helping them to avoid panicking during earthquake. For better understanding of tiny tots, they were shown the videos of recent earthquake in Nepal and highlighted the safety measures and mistakes committed by the victims during the shakings.
During the programme, concerned head of the Schools prepared evacuation plan along with identification of safe place of their respective schools and explained the same to their respective children for future reference in case of any natural calamities.
Possible hazards in the school compound were also identified and discussed to overcome. (DIPRO)
SC verdict hailed
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: The City Congress Committee (CCC) has hailed the Supreme Court verdict terming it as a landmark judgment.
The Supreme Court ruling has upheld the truth. Truth has triumphed and no doubt it is the restoration of constitutional and democratic value in the country, it said in a press release.
The committee meanwhile sought unconditional apology from BJP state president Tapir Gao and MoS Kiren Rijiju for allegedly making mockery of the constitutional system and for misguiding Prime Minister Narendra Modi and people of the state causing political turmoil.
New ATM at Hapoli
ZIRO, Jul 14: A new SBI recycling ATM counter was inaugurated by Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner Kemo Lollen on Thursday.
DC Lollen has appealed all the users to keep the ATM booths clean and not to temper with the equipments.

Stop appointment of untrained persons to the post of Health Assistant (Jr)
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: The All Arunachal Pradesh Employed Health Assistant Association (AAPEHAA) has in a memorandum submitted to the Director of Health Services on Tuesday appealed to him to stop appointment of untrained persons to the post of Health Assistant (Jr)-EPI& General.
While claiming that many trained Health Assistants most of whom have already crossed their serviceable age, will be rendered jobless if the department recruits untrained persons against the said posts, the Association urged him to consider their genuine demands.
Training on summer vegetable cultivation held
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: In all 60 farmers including rural youths and women participated in an Agriculture Department organized day-long training programme on cultivation of summer vegetable under ATMA training programme at Walla Village, Hawai on Wednesday.
While highlighting the importance of the training, ADO, S Bhattarcharjee informed the participants about the various subsidies on agriculture schemes such as Direct Benefit Transfer, DBT and Chief Minister Farm Mechanization etc.
During the programme, resource person HDO, TT Hai, spoke about the incidences of viral diseases in large cardamom and suggested its preventive measures. He also advised the farmers to grow off-season vegetable.
SMSs of Horticulture and Plant Protection also advised farmers to take up cultivation of summer vegetable and oyster mushroom production.
Later, seed treatment drums, pipes, polybags, summer vegetable seeds, farm tools were also distributed to the farmers under ATMA, NMOOP and RKVY schemes.
Shopkeepers in Changlang take oath for cleanliness
CHANGLANG, Jul 14: Shopkeepers of Changlang Town led by the Executive Members of Changlang Township Trade and Commerce Association (CTTCA) on Thursday took an oath of allegiance to devote 100 hours per year to voluntary work for cleanliness on the occasion of International Cooperative Day.
The programme was organized by the Department of UD & Housing, Changlang with focus on cleanliness of residential and housing areas.
Earlier the Deputy Director, Changlang Division Tadar Tarang while explaining the importance of cleanliness urged the shopkeepers to participate in the phase wise thematic cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with utmost sincerity and devotions. He appealed them to participate in the social services with necessary tools like broom, spade, etc adding that the programme will continue till 2019.
Secretary, CTTCA, Phosam Zongsam informed about the cleanliness status of various points in the town and exhorted the shopkeepers to cover the leftover areas which need to be cleaned immediately. (DIPRO)
Demonstration on rescue operations conducted
ITANAGAR, Jul 14: A demonstration on rescue operations and how to give first aid to the victims of disaster was conducted by 12th Bn NDRF, Doimukh, personnel led by Inspector, B N Pandey during a District Disaster Management Authority, Papum Pare (Rural), Yupia and 12th Bn NDRF, Doimukh organized awareness-cum-mock drill on earthquake preparedness and rescue operation at Government Secondary School, Rono Hill, Rajiv Gandhi University Complex under Doimukh Circle on Thursday.
While addressing the participants Yupia DDMO, Preetha Menon advised the students to get themselves acquainted with the Dos and Donts on earthquake and other natural calamities.
The Head Master in-charge, R Giri along with all teachers and staff of the school were also present in the programme. (DIPRO)
Hundreds take part in Kalash Yatra
PASIGHAT, Jul 14: Hundreds of member of Neepali Sanskriti Suraksha Parishad (NSSP), Pasighat took out Kalash Yatra and marched towards 2-mile Shiva Mandir from Komlighat on Thursday with an aim to foster peace and prosperity in the society.
DC, Isha Khosla, who flagged off the Kalash Yatra appreciated the NSSP for their efforts and stated that peace is prerequisite for social development. (DIPRO)

Congress takes huge gamble in UP
Congress party has sprung a major surprise by declaring former Delhi Chief Minister
Sheila Dikshit as party's chief ministerial candidate for coming Uttar Pradesh election.
Election strategist Prashant Kishor had recommended that Ms. Dikshit should play
a major role in the party's poll campaign in the State as she is a prominent Brahmin
face and could help Congress regain the support of the electorally sizeable community.
The Brahmin community, a traditional vote bank of Congress, had shifted allegiance
to the BJP in the aftermath of the Mandir-
A large chunk of Brahmin votes had also gone to Mayawati's BSP in the past when she gave ticket to many candidates belonging to the community. The community's support determines the poll outcome in several seats in central and eastern U.P. The decision of Congress to put up a CM candidate is bold and party has nothing to lose from it. Also this move has put immense pressure on BJP to declare its CM candidate for UP election. BSP has Mayawati and SP has present CM Akhilesh Yadav. Sheila has done decent work in Delhi and is considered to be an astute politician. Over the year Congress has virtually gone out of political map of UP. They performed badly in Lokh Sabha with only party president Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi winning the election. Party has been struggling to make a mark in UP. By choosing to fight election with Sheila Dikshit as CM candidate Congress has taken huge gamble. Only time will tell whether this gamble was worth taking.

Appeal for postponing of exam
Dear Editor,
Supporting the request made by some of our friends for postponing of written exam of teacher under the department of secondary education, whose exam date is coinciding with date of UPSC (prelims), we would like to request the concern authority to further look in to the request of educated unemployed youths of the state.
UPSC civil service exam is the toughest exam in India. It is very difficult to prepare for both UPSC and other competitive exam at the same time. The syllabus and approach is completely different from each other. Hence, the aspirants who want to sit in both UPSC (prelims) as well as teacher exam need time gap of at least one month for the preparation of exam.
Since we cannot ask UPSC to change exam date, we hope that our own state government will definitely understand the problem of educated unemployed youth of the state.
Lastly we appeal directorate of secondary education to kindly inform us about their stand on this issue within 2 days, so that aspirants of UPSC (prelims) exam 2016 may take decisions whether to attend or give up this exam.

Road need attention
Dear Editor,
The road between national highway and Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya, Chimpu, Itanagar needs urgent attention of higher authorities. Parents of VKV Chimpu School are facing lots of hardship to drop their children at school. Sometimes it takes half an hour to complete just 200 mtrs journey, which is the distance between national highway and school. This is happening due to the dilapidated road condition.
During monsoon season, most of the time small cars are stuck in the mid of the road due to the pathetic road condition. Many a times student reach late in the school or sometimes are found crying, waiting for the parents to pick them up after completion of class. Despite existence of so many govt. offices at this particular place, maintenance of the road is ignored till date. With lots of hope and full expectation, I being one of the parents of such student would humbly request state government to take up the matter personally and direct concern authority for early maintenance of the road.

Road getting damaged due to excavation work
Dear Editor,
Through the most popular column of your daily, I would like to draw the attention of general masses & concerned authorities towards the ongoing excavation work near Khula Colony, Lobby Village, Mowb 2 road. It is the sole road connectivity for many families dwelling in and around the area. The current excavation has resulted in creating massive potholes in the road which has created a havoc and hindrance for the people to commute.
The excavation work added by the monsoon rain has resulted in adding fuel to fire and the only commuting road is currently unsafe for light motor vehicles & two wheelers to pass by. The already horrible road has further been destroyed by the excavation process.
So, I would earnestly request the concerned authority to look into this issue seriously and immediate necessary actions should be taken as lives of many families dwelling in the periphery depend on this sole road.
